I am delighted to be able to with Christ Church Stockport for the first year, this has also allowed me to find accommodation at a lower level than initially expected. This may not be possible once I move to North Manchester, this is the reason for the increase in the finding requirement from year on and two. As the church is established, more will be required to support the ministry.
Over the past ten years I have worked as a Crosslinks mission partner in South Africa. I have been self-funded and through the support of individuals and church partners, I have raised approximately £35,000 per annum. Individuals and some churches have already indicated that they are keen to partner in this new work. I am looking for others to partner with me financially over the next few years. Along with individual and church partners, I will be applying to trusts to help fund this new project, and as a core group is formed and build, I hope that they will contribute to the growing costs.
